Tool transfer & supplier change

Your tooling.
A new series partner.

Existing injection moulds are inspected, sampled and adapted where required. Tool condition, machine compatibility and process window determine the transition into our production.

Expertise in house

Direct coordination.
Integrated responsibility.

Toolmaking and series production share one location. Manufacturing knowledge feeds directly into design, modifications and sampling.

Technical inspection

Drawings, tool data, condition and current production requirements are evaluated together.

Adapt & sample

Required changes are made in our own tool shop and then sampled.

Plan the transition

Approval, order scheduling and packaging are aligned for the production launch.

The route to series

Technical alignment.
Economical production.

01

Understand requirements

Align application, drawing, material and annual volume.

02

Build the tooling

New tooling, modifications or transfers, in our own tool shop.

03

Sample & approve

Evaluate the component, process and agreed inspection points for production.

04

Manufacture in series

Automated manufacturing, assembly and packaging to your requirements.

Component, tooling and production

A supplier change with technical preparation.

A tool transfer involves more than transporting a mould. Component documentation, tool condition, machine interfaces and existing production must be assessed together. We coordinate required modifications, sampling, approval and the first production order with you.

Your project in focus

  • Bringing together component drawings, tool data and reference samples
  • Assessing tool condition, maintenance requirements and machine compatibility
  • Agreeing inspection features and sampling scope before production
  • Planning orders, material supply and packaging for the transition

FAQ

Questions about working together.

Does a transferred tool need to be sampled?

Sampling forms part of the technical assessment of the new manufacturing process. Scope, inspection features and approval criteria are aligned with the component and your requirements.

What happens if wear or corrections are identified?

Our tool shop assesses the required work. Maintenance, repairs or modifications are agreed with you and included in the production transfer plan.

Is there a standard transfer lead time?

No. Tool condition, required modifications, material availability and approvals affect the schedule. A realistic date is agreed after technical assessment of your project.
